Many physics models of electroweak symmetry breaking and solutions to the hierarchy problem predict the existence of heavy particles with decay products that include jets. If these new particles are boosted relative to their mass, the resulting decay products can fall within a single jet. In this talk I will describe how the CMS experiment is using information about the substructure of jets to perform a model-independent search for the production of a massive, narrow-width, neutral boson decaying into top quark pairs in 7 TeV pp collisions at the LHC.
